If an exasperated judge wants to get a young man’s attention and make sure he understands that jury duty is serious, a 3 minute tongue lashing with some threats about next time and/or court costs would certainly do the trick, and that’s what punishment is supposed to be about, to make sure the offense isn’t repeated?
