Illiteracy doesn’t only mean you don’t know how to read, but quite frequently, that you don’t know how to talk, form sentences.

So what? Dr Suess is funny and kids love him, so she’s pandering and entertaining some of them. He’s just not challenging reading material for grade school kids.

You are not FLOTUS. Makes a difference. I’m not a librarian, and if someone gave me Dr. Suess books I would think it was pretty dense, because I would either have them for my children or not want my children to have them. It’s just redundant and not thoughtful. The librarian wants her to think.
