One thing I found missing from the JC2 multiplayer (though I may have been playing an early version of it) was that the world had no NPCs in it after being loaded. Did they ever get that issue resolved and/or will the JC3 multiplayer be anything more than an empty, destructable sandbox for the players?

This is among my all-star, desert island RPG collection that has a permanent home on my ancient modded/hacked PSP-1000.

No Life 3 confirmed!

A few years ago, when Steam was still doing Daily and Flash sales, sometimes games would be more discounted later during the sale event. Now, the discount it’s at is what it’ll be at for the entire duration.

It’s like the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Wall, except for disappointment.

Once again, I will do my best to adhere to the rules set forth by the “Steam Summer Sale Survival Service”. A summary of them includes:

My question is: Will there be inter-crew PVP? A game like this begs for the structure of a chain of command. If I’m the captain of a sailing vessel, I expect my crew to do their job and follow orders. Otherwise, it’s the brig, or the plank for more serious offenses. Mutineers... we keel-haul them.

I was playing in a DnD 3.5 campaign where me and three other players all had small side-stories/vignettes going on in a very large city. One of us was a chaotic evil Beguiler who ran a very lucrative narcotics manufacture/child slavery racket, while I was playing a War Mage tasked with hunting him down. I’d finally

I’d keep my eye on KIRK2, that guy’s shifty as hell.

If you’re anything like me and have been fiending for a new Phantasy Star since the Sega Genesis days

That’s just slightly more than they’d give him for a used PS4.

*immature snicker*

I’m not sure you realize how expensive it was to transmit cellular data in 1994. The old LucasArts TIE Fighter game clocks in at 7.3MB, and cellular data rates in 1994 were around $5 for 10KB (found an old Computerworld magazine that discussed it). That means the game would’ve cost around $3,650 to transmit. If

Right, but I’m commenting on cellular rates in 1994 being absurdly high compared to what they are these days. Data transmission prices were often calculated per kilobyte then. Sadly, my cursory search hasn’t found any archives that discuss what the pricing was, and I don’t remember what I paid back then.

The LucasArts employee did that for $300? I can’t imagine the cost of using a cellular modem in 1994 to transfer what must’ve been several megabytes of data was much less than that.

It’s like some sort of strange palindrome where the word is actually better backward?

And the only way to defeat him is to get him to say “Akbaz Netsrot”.

It’s probably a trait you can pick up to cater to your fans more. Sort of like “Sailor”, where you’re capable of weaving together an endlessly creative tapestry of profanities, and “Mother Tongue”, where you’re automatically more popular because you have an exotic accent.

Pretty fitting, considering the trefoil in their logo.

Last month, SteelSeries came out with their Apex M500. I picked it up and am super happy with it. It’s right at the $90-$100 price point, full-size, backlit, and has Cherry MX Reds. I totally recommend it to anyone looking for a simple, functional, high-quality mechanical.
