@madisondj: A reasonable, thought-out post. I suspect the indignant nerds will start yelling at you about why you are wrong in a few minutes, since TI's don't support Android or open source and you are a sheep.

"Don't deny you didn't ever fool around with them in class, pretending to phone one another."
Smart phone is the new cigarette.
@chrisofdoom: I don't care.
@kitkatklub123: These charts are about rates of change, not position. Think of it like velocity vs. acceleration. Nokia maybe have a high velocity, but they are decelerating, while HTC's velocity is low but it is accelerating.
@archbishop: Yeah, it's generally safe to assume the files will be easily recoverable from the trash. However, I still think it's a good idea to never put anything in the trash unless you're willing to lose it forever.
@zaghy2zy: Back in a previous life I did some sysadminning, and we did a lot of "snapshot" installs - get an image of the system, install the new OS, take another image and compare the two. The difference is basically the install (as long as you didn't do anything else during the install), and we could push that out…
Personally, I'd run a backup of the old machine, delete the applications I didn't want to migrate over, run the migration assistant, and then restore the backup on the old machine.
Ok, no more chicken nuggets for me. Until the next time I really want some chicken nuggets.
@Alchemistmerlin: Glad you were able to take time out of your busy day to shit on me for having an opinion.
Ten shows, and three of them just came out this year? That's the best this jackass could find? The Pod F. Tompkast has had only three episodes so far, and Sklarbro is up to #10.
All that data would have been safe if the truck driver had thought to back up first.

@yiorgos1984: Look, I was just trying to talk about the HDR capabilities of the 3GS. If the best thing you can do is turn the conversation into "reasons why yiorgos1984 hates Apple," then I guess you just have to go with what you know.
It's going to be difficult to hide the giant spare key under your door mat, though.
@yiorgos1984: I didn't say it wasn't technically possible. I just think it may be too difficult for the average user to take decent HDR photos with a 3GS. And I'm not defending their decision, just making an educated guess on why they chose not to include it.
@yiorgos1984: The complexity is having a camera that can do it fast enough to capture basically the same image. The 3GS may not be able to shoot so rapidly.
HDR is nice and all, but I really want an app that tells the user to hold your damn phone sideways if you're going to shoot video. I don't want to see video that looks like it was shot in a doorway!
@FriarNurgle: If we set a minimum requirement for owning a computer, then there would be fewer users. Less users means less sales, which would mean less options for those who get the license, and higher prices for the options available.
@wasting_company_time: There should be a quick way for Gizmodo to consider that some of us might not want those ads on their work computers.
