"big" project this weekend. I'm going to re-purpose an old laptop to run boxee as a media server/streamer. I figure I'll set the laptop up by the couch on the end table. Then, I'll run the S-Video out (came standard!) and audio to my television RCA inputs (it's an old Panasonic...no fancy hdmiRGB whatevers for me!)…

@Toribor: No. An update would be like Windows updates that add little hotfixes and what not. If you're changing versions you are technically upgrading.

@LastVigilante: Yes it is ok to bring a camera. Be sure to check or ask about the electrical and plumbing (ie. if it's an older place has the electrical been updated? Is the plumbing copper or plastic based?) How old is the hot water heater, furnace, etc...
