So I’m in Santa Clara County, CA, and we are struggling to recall the judge responsible for letting Brock here off with a very light sentence. I’m shocked by the resistance to recalling Judge Persky. He has a long history of letting criminals like Turner off with very light sentences because it might “ruin their

I mean, not to be rude, but she wasn’t asked about your or anybody else’s c-sections....

Australian tabloid journalism is fahking weeeahd, mate.

Whatever, they’re both in eastern Europe...

Yeah, this doesn’t seem worth getting upset about.

Did it ever occur to you that some of these ‘mums’, as you so flippantly put it, have very important reasons for having those torches? Just because you don’t need a torch, how dare you judge these brave mothers for their choices.

And better yet, the baby is a JR. I FUCKING LOVE IT. And to tie it back in with the OP, I also love that Serena’s been candid about how difficult the birth was. The more talk about pregnancy experiences, personal choices, and maternal health is normalized, the better.

I’m also really digging that they named their *daughter* after the Dad, rather than waiting for a son. Not as much as if her name was Serena Olympia, but close.

Olympia! Holy shit what a great name.

Off-topic: OMG Serena has just revealed her daughter’s pics and her name: Alexis Olympia, and they’re calling her Olympia! *Dies*

This. The backlash is predictable, but idiotic. This is why I am sick of constant internet outrage. We can’t even discuss our personal feelings about our own experiences anymore? Fuck that noise.

I can’t deal with the outrage machine. So stupid.

Or are we just coming after her w pitchforks no matter what?

OMFG - maybe it was a lazy choice for HER?? I honestly don’t see the issue with her comments at all. Seriously. Does anyone actually read this and think that she talks about ALL the c sections ever done? Because to me it reads pretty clearly as a personal experience. And why not?

Do we know if she chose to have a scheduled c-section so she didn’t have to deal w the pain and pooping and screaming and that’s why she said it was lazy? Or are we just coming after her w pitchforks no matter what?

The laziest thing SHE has ever done.

I know, right? It’s almost as if he’s in some kind of prison.

If I remember right, his defense was something like, “Well everyone does it. It’s unfair to single me out!”

I remember, way back when, thinking that Blagojevich was the biggest disgrace. Now, he doesn’t even rate in the top 50 shittiest people in contemporary US politics.

Just a small correction: You mention that he is now five years into his sentence, having been sentenced in 2012, but 2012 was actually 97 years ago.
