The hot wagons are clearly the best choices (closely followed by the Trackhawk). But Tom missed one in his list of wagon options:

Normally my gut would say to go with either the Mercedes E63 wagon or the Audi RS6. But as capable as those wagons are, they both feel like big cars. I would have you consider the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Turbo."

Lol, the thought hadn’t crossed my mind until now. You have to admit though that the Viper is a car that is always looking for a way to kill its occupants. Why settle for only wrapping you around an oak tree when it can also burn you to death while you sleep?

ehhh, if a Camry caught on fire and took out the garage and another car, then huge red flag. But a Viper trying to do it seems par for the course.

Rob,

I mostly look at this news with a bemused “must be nice to have the money to play Kerbal Space Program in real life.”

You Tesla shorts are all the same! /s

The 3 points at the end of the post cracked me up.

Nothing a typical 10mm wrench on a Toyota product can’t fix lol :]

You actually don’t see that many of these because the typical buyer talks themselves into an MDX instead for the badge.”

Mercedes: The $30k-$35k target was to buy the vehicle, not the annual maintenance bill.

It’s the Miata of “wants an SUV.”

+1 for Lawrence again

I had a manual 1972 corolla with a 1.2l rated at 62hp (which it was definitely not achieving when I owned it). It felt dangerously underpowered on any road with a speed limit of 45+. It could not get past 60mph on flat ground (did make it to 70 downhill), and was out accelerated by big rigs.

Counterpoint - I have driven a manual W123 240D at elevation.

Leased a Spark EV, and that thing is a hoot to drive.  It handles decently enough, but the acceleration from a stop light makes you giggle every time.  And they are cheap as hell.

I’ve always been more of a boob guy, but man am I a sucker for a flying buttress.

like this:

I’m trying to figure out how a rear engine RWD pickup would work. Maybe the engine is IN the bed of the pickup?
