Maybe it was just the location I frequented, but I found the staff very rude. The older lady working there told me I should get a padded bra because I “clearly needed the extra lift.” I was 17.

My mom did the same thing for decades. I fail to see how this is so shocking to people.

I paddled dragon boat for a few years. When I started, the minimum number of women for a mixed crew of 20 paddlers was six. When the league first began, most teams didn’t have enough women to physically put more than six in a boat so it made complete sense.
