Coyote is sweet, but its existence just underscores how many decisions on the LS were so correct, so pure.

I don’t know where you’re getting this information, but no Viper parts bolt to an iron block truck V10 or vice versa. People have made heads and intake, etc. work with custom fabrication, but that is not what I consider bolt ons.

“why would I buy a sports car from a farm tractor manufacturer?”

Idk, maybe size, weight, COG, torque, efficiency and reliability? I’ve seen countless Corvette’s at trackdays, but few M3’s, and never an E92.

The LS engines are the antithesis to DOHC. There is simply no compelling argument in favor of DOHC over an LS engine.

Seems like a nice price, but I’m worried about which bits might need replacement and are unobtainium. There’s plenty to like and the sourced bits like the engine wouldn’t worry me. But customer controllers for batteries, those solar panels, etc. scare me in the world of $2,500 Cadillac XLR tail lights.

A friend has one. It is an unmitigated piece of s**t that he can’t sell or get repaired. CP all day long.

Wait. The LS/LT is small for it’s power output, reliable, inexpensive (relatively speaking), is versatile, and efficient (the best mpg over 50 miles in my 2017 Corvette with LT1 motor making 460 hp/465 tq is 30.2 mpg. And that’s WITHOUT utilizing the cylinder deactivation mode.

I respectfully disagree. I have a 7.0L LS3 based engine built by Livernois Motorsports in my 2009 Corvette. It makes 555hp to the rear wheels, gets close to 30mpg on the highway, and makes a completely bonkers V8 noise through long tube headers and Corsa exhaust as you rev it out to 7,000rpm. Oh and it is as reliable

The LS is the only meme engine out there. LS swap everything is the quintessential reply of the 2010s on this site.

The LS is at least as qualified as any of the motors listed here. I don’t get the LS hate. It makes good power, it’s light weight, simple. Can be easily shoe-horned into just about any chassis.

Nah, Sorry.

How are any of those dogshit?

Bitter much?

LS engines are some of the most reliable ones out there.

C5 and C6 Z06, CTS-V and SS.

Right? The GM hate is crazy in these comments. The guy may be a brand loyalist to a fault but he could have done worse.

So he’s a boomer because he limited himself to GM only? Also, dogshit? That’s a C5 and C6 Z06 sitting in there. 2 of the most iconic high performance Corvettes out there.

Biggest mistake GM made was the name, “SS” isn’t a model, it’s a option package. Should’ve just made it the Impala.

...but I do see a Malibu on every corner. CP.
