Come on Jalops. Put your $$$ where your mouth is. Don’t wanna hear y’all complaining later.

My GOD, look at that stereo face! That looks like the hi-fi unit my dad used to have when I was a kid in the 1970s! It’s got NEEDLES! I’m really going to need a moment.

As a guy with a lot of patents, nope that’s not how it works. I can (and do) 100% copy someone else’s patents all the time for testing and for learning what they did not disclose or did not figure out and how to get around it. What I can’t do is SELL or make any money off the other person’s IP. Patents intentionally

It is a prototype. Prototypes don’t have to meet production safety standards. Also, as others have pointed out, they aren’t using the F-150s frame, suspension, or drivetrain — only the body.

Only if they sell the component is it infringing on a patent.

Ford has every right to sue but they’ll lose. A legal case exists if they are profiting from using Ford’s brand image. They’re not. If they sold a truck with Ford’s brand or styling on it, different story.

They’re not using any of the F150's running gear, so the suspension/wheels/tires/brakes is what they’re designing for it.  The body is just a disguise.  Also, the F150 is a truck, it’s designed to carry hundreds of pounds of whatever.

Can you explain that? I can’t see anything wrong with driving around a vehicle with a Ford badge on it for R&D purposes. They aren’t selling the mules or trying to present them as something they are not.

How so? They bought used Ford F150's, put their own motor in (i know I’m simplifying that part) and are now testing their motors

If I saw this truck driving down the street, I would have no reason not to believe it is a Ford test mule. They did a good job grafting the body on. I would be fooled by this.

I mean they could have just given us all of the performance Australia and European models we dont get and I would have been fine with it.

While cars are on a decline, I still think Pontiac could have done well. Just look at the Stinger compared to the G8. It just wasnt as profitable as Buick at the time.

This seems like a lawsuit about nothing.

So did Jerry’s lawyer get his name wrong or did you just transcribe it wrong.

Wait, hold up. Those Chevy commercials told me they won the JD Power Most Reliable award. You mean to tell me those awards are worthless? What about those normal people and their important opinions?

That looks roomy and easy to steer and frankly, I kind of like it.

That looks fine.

For all the hate this car seemed to get when it was revealed it’s so cool to me. People seem to forget that the original Corvettes were relatively small, so this design should look really good in real life. Plus it’s light, and there’s companies out there dedicated to putting V8 engines, specifically LS Corvette

They need to build a split window.

I loved it when it was first announced here on Jalopnik, and would not hesitate to buy it if I had the means.
