You have just witnessed the death of a business. Nice job scumbag.

Here is the real question:

While the car itself maybe dated (no real updates except the minor facelift, architecture from the 90s), this car is still a stunner, something neither the Mustang or Camaro can claim to be.

Ok so here’s the deal. These cars rust every easily. They’ve got a rattly interior and too much power going to the front wheels. Then there’s the somewhat spotty reliability, with garbage engine mounts, a K04 turbo that likes to smoke, chain tensioners that will eventually need replacement, and they run hot because of

I’m honestly thinking about using some plastidip for a similar treatment on my SRT4.

I’ll admit it: if I had the buku bucks to take home those chunky Challengers, I’d keep the yellow protective strips on the front splitters.  The red paint combined with the dash of yellow works for me.

I’m glad Dodge came out with the ‘19 Redeye, just like Porsche did this year with the GT3 Touring to quell those million dollar flips on 911 R’s.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but those clearly do not match. One has a black roof and hood, the other doesn’t.

If one has the flat black hood, roof, and decklid are they really matching?

Lol, you’re so wrong. The Corvette to me, and a lot of other people is the Chevy sports car that gives you more performance for your money than any other sports car.

“as all good gearheads should.”

You’re an idiot. Please keep your shit opinions to yourself. The Corvette has been trying to go mid-rear engined for nearly half a century and it’s about damn time they finally go mid-rear so they can dominate for the next 50 years. Get with the times.

I’d argue that the only accurate example there is the 911, the Viper was just characterized by being a batshit American muscle car that was actively trying to kill you, and the Corvette always had dreams of mid-engines and was always a low-slung dad/grandpa sports car, the two-piece tail lights are more important than

“I don’t understand this modification/culture, therefore everyone else should also hate it!”

I don’t know why anyone would think that Cadillac would even consider producing a rear mid engine supercar. When they brought out the Cien Concept, people were all “make it, make it, make it” and Cadillac said there was never any intention to put it into production because such a car doesn’t actually fit into

This will chase off 3 or 4 % of current owners who are “purists” but it will attract 10% more buyers who want a proper supercar layout and better engine technology, paired with better handling dynamics.  So, win win.

I have hated this stance my entire life. That should tell you something. The very idea of a mid-engine Corvette, is older than you! To an extent that I feel it would be a big disservice to all those people if they wound up canning it now, at the eleventh hour. You say it’s failure. I think it’s failure they haven’t

Some of us know, and have known for a long time, that the Corvette was destined to become a rear mid engine sports/super car... but that’s probably because we know the history of the Corvette, and Zora Arkus-Duntov, known as “The Father of the Corvette”... He tried many times to get GM to switch the Corvette to a rear

You know the first Corvette was a blue-flame 6, right?

I bet you’re the same sort of dude that says “only a real man *insert situation here*.” get out of here with your qualifying statements. basically, it’s either the Corvette goes mid-engined, or it dies. they’re basically at the limit of the FR platform.
