My 91 Chevy 2500 has 225,000 on it and I have put $15K into maintenance/ repairs into it in the last 4 years.

At 300K miles, yes it would be unreliable. Most cars start getting unreliable just over 100K. And its not really mostly highway miles, those are almost all city miles. It is not the years, it is the miles. My wife puts @ 30 to 35K miles a year on her car for her job, she can’t wait 10 years for a new car, it would have 300K miles on it.

I disagree, the fun of a kit car it to have a car that is out of reach for anyone not in the 1%, that is built how you want it built.
