My concern comes from seeing the messes that were the FFXIII & KH “stories.” Opening up the potential for alternate timelines, while allowing for more liberal storytelling, runs the risk of twisting the plot into something unrecognizable. Not so much in LoI, but more so in CoD. The former has you operating from a central hub area a la The Nexus in Demons’ Souls. The latter had interconnected areas like say Metroid Prime, but the areas were sectioned off into rooms.

Evermore is SO underrated. Once you get through the first boss, things start to pick up. It deserved a sequel, but its ambition just didn’t sell enough copies...
