Thank you for the reply. Just to be clear: 'the covers show up afterwards' are for books you have downloaded from Google or uploaded from local storage? If you clear the data, I assume you have to re-upload all of them? Is that what you mean?

Smart people, does anyone have problems with covers showing up in Google Play Books sometimes? Specifically on Android tablets? I have uploaded several books and some don't show the covers in the app. They show up on my Android phone and on the Google Play site, but some don't show up in the tablet app.

I don't suppose it's worth noting that these companies—some of the best in the world at what they do—might have a justification? For example, they could have used analytics to find indicators of success and found a very high correlation between SAT and success at their firms?
