The Blob is one of my favorites of the old-timey movie monsters, so I’m always in favor of a remake.* That said, Venom was essentially The Blob, so we could just leave it at that.

* although I’m thinking not from the guys who apparently had 12 years to come up with something, spend $400k, and did jack shit.

Can’t speak for the movie, as I haven’t seen it in years. But, I still listen to the soundtrack occasionally.

I can’t tell if you mean it’s baffling because she’s not hot or baffling because it’s such old news? Everyone’s yums don’t have to be the same but it totally makes sense that people find her attractive. Her shtick always came across to me as treacly and phony, like somebody pretending to like humans for money, but then I’m from New England, where the weather keeps us a little more honest about our shitty attitudes.

Pretty simple. When she was offered the part she was excited, now 10+ years later, she no longer has any interest.
