I think that may happen, or just phase her out. I'm not sure what you do with a fully flushed out character like her without her becoming stale and boring (which would be HORRIBLE).

It's still very new, and there is a lot that is yet to be explored (as well as a BIG climax coming up hopefully soon with the Drill). AT was once like that in its middle seasons when there were so many threads that the writing and animation teams kept in remarkable balance.

SU filled the gap nicely, and it is such a creative show that really pushes the boat out on what we can expect in kids programming. A worthy successor to AT.

Given that they waited 5 months to put season 7 on TV, and the upcoming miniseries that basically explains Marceline's backstory in worryingly deep detail (the mystery and darkness of her character is what so many people like about her to begin with, why risk turning her ordinary?), I think AT could be done after

At the scene with the car chase, the one thing in my mind was "Oh what a day! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY!"

Kids' shows having definite endings is definitely rare. Nickelodeon until Avatar had a set policy of quietly killing shows that were getting cancelled, and a lot of other old cartoons really didn't have "endings". Then again, many kids shows on cable networks were a lot of self-contained episodes with little

Find the ending. Can't be explained.

One other point, the main thrust of this show was about the journals and discovering where they came from. With that being known, it was difficult to see a show of this caliber trying to drag it out far beyond that point. Ford is a neat character and I love JK Simmons' voice work here, but this is not meant to be

This last half-season quite strongly points to the two season idea. Ford makes a point of saying that once the summer ends, he's taking back the Mystery Shack, which sets an end point in the story arc, and one week left in summer (unless they somehow dramatically slow down or reverse time, entirely possible in this

I did read something about how there was a plan for GF to look into Dipper and Mabel's normal familial lives outside the town, possibly at school. How much of that is fact vs. rumor I don't know, but it does seem strange to have Gravity Falls not in Gravity Falls.

I heard about that as well, it was meant to be a follow up to The Jungle Movie where Helga and Arnold maintain a long-distance relationship.

If they bring back Hey Arnold, they had BETTER deal with the cliff hanger at the end of The Journal. We have been waiting 13 years for a resolution to that, and it was intended to be a movie finale. Just do that and you'll be back in my good graces, Nickelodeon.

You can tell this is fiction…if a candidate makes such ridiculous statements like Stan did in real life, he'd actually be ahead in the polls and wouldn't need a mind controlling tie

I loved the sitcom dream because in a way, its a little more exaggerated version of Steven and the Gems' personalities. Pearl is definitely the mother, Amethyst is the rad sister, and Garnet is the cool, smooth one.

Weird as it sounds, I think this show can get away with lesbian relationships easier than a more realistic kids' show. All else fails, write it off by saying that, since they're Gems, normal rules of human sexuality don't apply.

I'd say the link to the island of Lesbos is coincidential, but given their relationship….

who would really miss Florida anyway?

Wikipedia describes the setting as the Delmarva Penninsula, which would put Beach City somewhere in the mid-Atlantic, so it makes sense.
