you know how someone built a browser extension called “DeTrumpify” which changes every instance of the word “Trump” on a page into the amusing euphemisms started by Jezebel (like “President Talking Dingleberry”?) someone needs to build one called “UnKaren” which replaces “Karen” with the euphemisms from the Root. ‘cos

every bully has his crowd who hangs on to him, hoping to get a piece of the action.

I wish we could have a law barring politicians who draft/pass/sign blatantly unconstitutional legislation from ever holding public office again.

Pickiness is only a white people thing?

I can count the number of times I’ve seen or heard someone make a show of how much they hate natto on one had and have five fingers left over.  I don’t know why some of you have such huge chips on your shoulder you have to invent adversaries.

I went to the auto parts store and said to the guy at the counter “how about a gas cap for a Yugo?”  He replied “sounds like a fair trade.”

yep. only real annoying part is the “legs” can get stuck between your teeth.

The whole experiment raised a whole bunch of questions for me: Is there that much variation among store-bought lemonades,

I’ve been a contract engineer too, and if it’s the same arrangement as I (and the vast majority of contract engineers I’ve worked with) you are an employee of the contracting firm.  When we say “contractors” the way Uber wants to classify them we mean “self-employed” or “1099.”

the whole concept of it being “ride sharing” was farcical from the start. it was always a taxi service, and “do it via a smartphone app” doesn’t make it somehow revolutionary and a totally different thing.

ebay doesn’t dictate how much you sell your stuff for.  ebay does not kick you off or penalize you if you’re not selling enough stuff.

um, no, they don’t pass 1) or 2). They have some control over drivers in that they penalize them if they aren’t accepting “enough” rides. They also control what they pay drivers; drivers are not free to negotiate their own rates.

Uber and Lyft maintain that the law, known as Assembly Bill 5, or AB5, does not apply to them, saying they are not transportation businesses but tech platforms.

You missed strychnine.

I can deal with “funky” foods to a point.  What put me off of natto was it had hints of ammonia and other stuff that were reminiscent of actual rotting, which was a straight “NO.”

I’ll try anything as long as it doesn’t smell bad to me.

yeah, if you can’t find it in LA you’re not looking.

looks like someone grabbed the goodness before it got to him.

Do you carry yourself as though you’re God’s gift to women?  if not, then this doesn’t apply to you.

Now playing

Hood and grille don’t line up?  Fuck it, just give it a kick.
