The Hatch Act is a limit on the 1st Amendment. That’s why it’s by definition a violation of the 1st Amendment. So arguing that her 1st Amendment rights are being restricted is both correct and irrelevant.
No matter how many chickens come home she’ll still go to sleep comfortably on a giant pile of money she made from her awfulness. The pile just won’t get larger at the same rate.
One of the major underlying issues is that most of these cities did not sign contracts with the campaign but instead believed the goodwill they extended would be impetus enough for the campaign to pay up.

Impeachment has nothing to do with the Senate. Impeachment is analogous to indictment. The House needs to indict the president for his many, many, many public and private crimes, and do it in front of the whole country. If the GOP then chooses not to convict, that’s on them.

The difference between a jury and the Senate is that we’ll know the names of every Senator who decided whiteness “Trumps” justice.
