Cars are no longer designed with owner maintenance in mind. Hell, with some manufacturers, they are not being designed with third party repair shops in mind.

Having owed a 4XE for nine or so months, and having driven the standard JL, One benefit of the increased weight is a notably more planted road feel. It doesn’t feel as top heavy on highways or around corners. The standard D44 axles and upgraded brakes also help with that on road feel.

Airport shuttle. With all of the Overlanding/RV craze going on, these would be a great platform to strip out and toss in a bed. They ride well, designed for 12hour+ daily duty, and are probably easy to maintain.

That Strongbad red/black color scheme on that Toyota looks terrible. Reminds me of a cheap replacement panel that was installed without paint on.

Can I interest you in a Toyota Sequoia or Toyota 4Runner? Both have an elegant solution to this issue as well - the real window rolls into the trunk door.
