Once you get past 40ish most of those things stop to matter and you just grab the pretty things while you still can, and prenup.

In my very early 20's I was engaged to a model. She was stunning and I (just a poor working schmo) felt like a King when we went out and all the heads turned to see her and wonder how I managed that. I soon found out (after living together) how much maintenance she required to look that way and that her entire life

Except this happened in Canada, so I’m imagining more of a Bob and Doug McKenzie dialogue...

Having flown on a Harbour Air Beaver, and watching the seaplane docks in Vancouver, the dock workers usually push the plane off the dock before the pilot throttles up. It looks like the pilot and the dock worker weren’t communicating well.

In the pilot’s defense, “don’t ram the aircraft in front” wasn’t on the checklist. Tomorrow it will be.

I’ve done quite a bit of flying in the Caravan, (and some in the float version) and this is just bizarre. The only thing that makes sense to me is the guy on the dock was supposed to help push the 208 away from the dock to get around the Otter, but a communication mixup led to the crunch.

Seriously? Four equally sensible and viable options?

Let me just characterize the GMT800s once and for all:

As a fellow E39 owner, the difference is that the trim falling off of the tailgate handle doesn’t affect operation, it’s just a bit unsightly.

These are built to last.”

The defroster shortened it by a hair.

Spending hundreds of millions of dollars on a tourist trap for relatively wealthy people while you have thousands of people living in tents on the street would be a very California thing to do.

Fortunately this isn’t the state of California’s problem. This is the city of Long Beach’s problem.

I am strongly on team scrap it, but in the end it is up to that city and its odd priorities to work out.

Ships are very expensive and have a limited design life.
This problem is not going to get better the older this ship gets.
Putting it on land is just going to cause a different set of problems.
Eventually this ship is going to be scrapped after sucking up a huge amount of money.

How is “make it a hotel/casino” not the #1 option. You know how much money casinos make?

Are you sure it wasn’t Betamax?

I used to have that on VHS.

Around here we call that a Storrowing!

Is it still considered Storrowing if it doesn’t happen on Storrow Drive?

I think so. Hmmm

Gleezbod the Commander: Very important. When delivering our ship to the launch point, do not use Earth Interstate 93.
