Except for having a liftback, this is less useful than the regular 3 series. It’s not meant to be “not a wagon, but it’s a wagon” like the GTs were.

Don’t worry, your Lexus LX version will have an ever bigger grill, and a front bumper that extends low and reduces off-roadability too.

I think it’s safe to say yes, this will be the base engine for the new Tundra. And it will have a hybrid option with more power and possibly a PHEV or BEV version as well. I’d expect at least 500-550hp and north of 600 tq for the hybrid. We’ll have to wait and see on that.

450lbs of weight loss is what the LC needed. That IMO is a BIG deal. Combined with the extra power - this thing should be fantastic to drive. Sad we won’t see it in the USA in any form other than LX570 that is rumored to be more like $200k for the next gen and probably be hybrid only and 600hp.
