The last time far leftys set fire to a big building in Germany very bad things happened

The reason why we don’t have 1,000 lb cars that get 80 MPG and are reliable for 30+ years and 600K+ miles is because consumers want shiny new toys every couple of years, and because car companies build cars with planned obsolescence in mind to keep up the demand for their products.

The irony of “environmentalists” setting a fire, likely using gasoline, to sabotage an electric car company. They just created more pollution, not just in burning the cables, but in the new emissions required to ship and install replacement cables.

Oh so trying to improve the amount of CO2 we consume by using electric cars is now bad I guess... Not a Tesla fan as many of you know.

I was going to say the same thing. It’s a pretty well known company in boating. Maybe it’s a new model? Either way, they are pretty much essential to those into the live-aboard lifestyle.

The bearings on the wheels of your car see much more abuse than this ever would and they can last decades. Plus this is sealed in a vacuum so there is virtually no environmental exposure.

Now?  Seakeepers have been sold since 2008

Agreed. Can we please have crack pipe back for today?

If you want a truck, $26k buys a more capable and newer truck.

Rest assured, Erik. They’re going to sell all of them.

You’re not throwing mulch in the bed. You’re not taking out in a blizzard to get your milk, eggs and bread. And you’re not going to challenge anyone in an actual sports car. Completely pointless. Reliable, sure, but you don’t need to spend this much for that.

Every now and then there’s a car that reminds me why “Crack Pipe” was an option...

OH HELL NO! It ain’t that good looking, that powerful, that luxurious, that useful to justify a nosebleed price. That underhood photo says to me that the mileage is higher than claimed. No Dice.

What’s the over-under on how many Ford F-150 Lightings Ford will sell in its first year?

Lambos were sold in large quantities to all sorts of people with really big money coming from mostly questionable sources (young princes in autocratic petro states, the scions of Russian oligarch families buying up European real estate and putting Lambos in the garage, the heirs of well-connected Chinese billionaires,

This honestly sounds like some kind of corporate fuckery. We all know Papa Piëch was involve in numerous questionable dealings and scandals, so it is not reach to think Sonny Piëch is just as rotten.

It’s not out of whack for the segment but it is for a new brand/manufacturer with no track record. They’ll be directly competing against big electric sedans from Tesla, Audi, Porsche and soon to be Mercedes (EQS) but at similar price.

I’m very conflicted on Lucid. I love the idea of 400+mi of range in a high-performance non-tesla sedan, and the car is beautiful. However, they sold a majority share to the Saudi Government, and quite frankly I do not wish to give money to people who kill opposition journalists and oppress women, not to mention their

As an owner of a FWD Niro EV, I can say that is the biggest/only thing I don’t like about it. Too much torque for the front wheels.  RWD would be better for sure. AWD is great too, just don’t need it where I live.

I’ll admit it: I find the plain styling to be refreshing. Since the Asian ICE cars tend to have front fascias that make those vehicles look like giant cheese graters, I appreciate Hyundai’s approach.
