Pretty sure those are douches, dude.

Giugiaro was at his very best when he penned this car. The copper paint somehow makes it even better.

I test drove several used Audis and bought one. I just didn’t buy THAT one. Just illustrating that even a “new” used Audi from a dealership can have issues that would be expensive to fix outside of warranty, and that needs to be considered.

*cash on the frunk

GM holds the price ridiculously low for another year on what is one of the most significant sports cars in recent history and Jalopnik still tries to spin it negative ending the article with I’ve been had once again.”  Ha!

You could not pull that trick right now. We barely started building them before the shutdown, and there are actual sold orders to fill. There is essentially zero supply. There will not be good deals on the C8 for a long time.

Heated seats are the best thing in this world. Believe me, going down 4x4 roads when its cold as shit and youre plodding along at 4mph i, for one, am thankful to have heated seats.

It’s taken me 40 years to learn that every time I take the cheapskate option it comes back to bite me without fail.

Over in camera gear land, I still remember the endless teases about Nikon’s new Z-mount cameras. They’re going to redefine imaging! Here’s a very poorly lit photo of part of one camera! Here’s a “leak” of a couple of not-very-important specs!

It isn’t a uniquely German problem, but it sure seems like German cars are the poster children for aftermarket solutions for OEM design flaws.

The hate for it baffles me too. On the rare occasion it is actually a bother, there is an off switch on every car I have driven with it. Otherwise, it saves gas.

After my DSP6 Powershift DCT transmission problems in my Focus, seat frames that collapsed while driving, two bad transmissions in different vehicles (Explorer & F150) that destroyed their own synchro gears due to faulty hydraulics, single leaf rear springs, defective moon roofs, ignition modules that suddenly shut

Efficiency saddens me as well

Me lifting the inside wheel on my FIST while tripling the suggested speed for that curve

In the universe where DMV sections have three boxes that a car can fit in and nobody is willing to pay the IT guy to add a fourth.

Okay but does the Mustang rate take pedestrians into account?

And you would be a person I would recommend it to. That ends up being like 1 in about 50 lol. Most luxury car “buyers” just get a new lease and not have to worry about.

Yep. I traded an MK7 GTI with DCT for a 328i wagon with the ZF8.  The DCT was slightly more visceral, but in sport mode the ZF shifts pretty damn fast.    It is also much smoother in traffic.

No. Sorry. That’s incorrect. It had a 2.7t, not a 3.0tt. I know... I had the displeasure of hel9ng a friend replace the timing belt on theirs. It was awful.

I test drove a used B8 S4....it made it through precisely 3/4 of a mile of the test drive before electing to go into limp mode. Despite the salesman’s assurance that they would take care of it before I bought it I elected to go a different direction. A new one with a warranty is often cheaper than a used one.
