I don’t think so.  I think that is a screen shot from their development environment.  The actual interface would only show one of those windows at a time.

Try reading what I wrote again:

No, I didn’t. Perhaps my response wasn’t clear. My problem is that this has independent navigation and cloud service support in addition to CarPlay and Android Auto. That added navigation and cloud service support is unnecessary.

That’s a different issue. Yes, keeping physical controls is important and Toyota has done that.

Toyota still thinks they can compete against Car Play and Android Auto?  They can’t and it is a waste of money to try.

The original livery was created by Loewy— that is a fact, not an opinion. Raymond Loewy is widely considered to be one of the greatest product designers ever — that opinion is held by many of the most influential industrial designers and artists. The current livery truly is iconic — it is recognized worldwide.

For those unfamiliar, the original Air Force One livery was created by Raymond Loewy, one of the greatest product designers ever. Loewy created the design for the JFK administration. Whatever you think of Trump (and I am not a fan), the current Air Force One livery is iconic and far superior to the livery proposed by

I’m confused.  Aren’t you the Jalopnik writer that owns an old Chevy Suburban and a huge bus?

For those criticizing me, those weren’t the end of the problems on my GTI. Other parts that failed in the first 40k miles included:

You think VWs haven’t had poor engineering? Here are a couple examples from the MK4 Golf/Jetta. Remember the window regulator failures? If you lived in a hot climate, the window regulators would often fail, causing the glass to fall into the door. VW redesigned the window regulator, which failed to solve the

You don’t want to be driving malaise-era Detroit iron in a Chicago winter.  I grew up in Chicago and got my license in 1976.  The cars from that era were crap.

Could have been worse.  He could have bought a new MK4, like I did. God what a POS that car was.

I was also burned by a GTI. Mine was a 2000 GTI GLX that I bought new. Most unreliable POS that I’ve owned in 45 years of driving. And before the VW faithful claim I didn’t maintain it — I maintained it according to the schedule in the manual (plus all the crap that broke repeatedly).

That’s nonsense.

Yes, it is his constitutional right.

It has been tried. It almost always fails: https://www.avweb.com/multimedia/why-new-aircraft-engine-ideas-rarely-succeed/

You have zero understanding of the cost and complexity of certifying a new engine and getting a supplemental type certificate.

Almost no one can afford a new certified aircraft. They typically start around $300,000 and up.  Forcing them to use diesel or mogas would increase the price significantly.

The Quest Kodiak does not run on unleaded gasoline. It runs on Jet-A. The Kodiak is a turboprop, using a PT6 engine. The cost for that engine alone is over $400,000, far beyond the budget of all but the top 1% of pilots.
