“Every story deserves a happy ending.”

It’s too bad. Brown seemed to really want to be on the Raiders, but ultimately he just got cold feet.

I am an attorney. A bad one, but that is besides the point. I believe there a clause that any guarantees can be voided for “conduct detrimental to the team.” I would say committing a potential felony against the head coach and calling the GM “cracker” in front of the team meets that standard. But what do I know.

I’m really digging your work, Ray.

Having watched every episode of this season’s “Hard Knocks”, I can tell you that your assessment of Jon Gruden is spot on. He’s like amacho” high school math teacher, preening his beer gut in front of the dis-interested girls in class, while casting aspersion on the math abilities of the male students. Seriously,

Brown comes out of this looking bad for sure, but I think it’s a bit of a stretch to assume no team will touch him if(when?) he gets released. The whole helmet saga was ridiculous but it’s been resolved, the main issue is the Raiders refusing to waive the fines for not being in camp. The Raiders were completely within

I disagree & think the men should play best of three sets in the majors. The matches are just too punishingly long and boring. I don’t want to watch John Isner play for five hours, I’m sorry, life is too short

Applause all around. From shipping out Mack to whatever shit this is. Bunch of fucking idiots.

I gave up watching a few years ago because of the league’s Roman-coliseum treatment of the players as disposable vessels to break and toss into a pit. I thought it’d be really hard to leave behind, because I thought I loved football so much. Instead, the freedom of having my Sunday completely open with no planning

Just a horrible, senseless tragedy.

I’m looking forward to hearing some moron, in the same breath, bag on kickers as “not real football players” and then bag on Lloyd as being incapable of being a football player and never suffer from cognitive dissonance for a moment.

Give her a tryout. She qualifies for a look. Whether she can do it or not under NFL game conditions will show itself pretty quickly. As for the tackling question, if she makes enough PATs and field goals her tackling prowess won’t be under the microscope.

So are we just conceding that tackling is not a skill we require in kickers?

Perfect, and he already owns property there.

The Detroit Lions are sore losers even in articles where they aren’t the topic. Now that’s on-point marketing for you.  You can’t buy bad publicity like that; you have to charge for it.

This is clearly the worst thing that’s ever happened to OJ Simpson.

Seems shortsighted to me. What’s he going to do without football? Other than his family, tens of millions of dollars, a Stanford education, and relative youth, football was all he had going for him.

Much like all good colts who have suffered injuries, Andrew Luck will retire to a lovely farm upstate.

* grabs shotgun *

* takes Luck out back *

Groan, here's your star.

I guess you could say Indy's luck has........run out.
