I would've died if the lip sync had been to daft punk. I feel like Detox probably would've pulled it out because i'm not sure if Alyssa's style would translate, but it would've been amazing to watch

So basically Jasmine Masters in the Shakesqueer episode?
The common theme could maybe be something to do with stories/books in general? Cake had her narrative flapjacks; Butterscotch butler had Gumball's diary; Flame Prince was in a library; Marshall Lee made up the story about the monster attack; and then Ice Queen was reading her own fan fiction about the Ice President…
There's no question that creating more gay characters is the solution to solving the problems of underrepresentation. But for whatever reason that isn't really happening at a regular pace when it comes to movies. You're saying there's a need to turn all male platonic relationships gay and I'm saying that's not the…
But how is it limiting male relationships if nothing ever comes from it. These characters never become gay (Sam and Dean continue to be straight, Bert and Ernie haven't become a couple, Frodo and Sam don't end up together etc.) So how does it affect anyone? There wouldn't even be as much fan projection onto presumably…
Yep, because as we'll soon see Marvel's just about to cave and reveal they've actually been secretly doing it behind the scenes this whole time. Just like every other time audiences have forced writers to turn close male friends gay (I'm looking at you Sam and Frodo). At this point I'm worried we won't have any…
But none of those examples (or really any examples) have been turned gay because of this so I don't see your point. We don't get many options when it comes to canon gay relationships, so I don't see how it's surprising that people wanting representation are going to project it onto these situations when they have no…
I totally agree here. I can't tell you how much I hate hearing the "why can't they ever just be friends" thing whenever it comes to relationships between two men or women. I wanna hear one time this argument has come up and the characters actually ended up being gay. The whole reason people get excited over the…
Do you think in this one Rihanna will play the fruit or the ninja?
Also, that's totally an exaggeration about most characters being from the past. There's Simon, Bubblegum (plus her new brother, neddy, I guess), Marceline and her dad, Betty, Moe, the people of mars, orgalorg and the lich. That's pretty much it, and aside from neddy, all of those characters have had pretty big effects…
I'm not saying she's gonna be the linchpin of the show. I'm just saying they're setting her up to possibly be a new major player and for more than just her connection to Ice King.
To be fair, we had no idea the princesses were elementals too until just this episode so who knows if slime princess will become more important in the future (every other elemental is already a pretty significant character story-wise). And I should have specified she's the reincarnation of an ancient magical being who…
Patience is relevant because she's a reincarnation of an ancient magical being. The Ice King could be absent from this story entirely and she would still feel like a character that's significant to the show and its world.
The weird Mystique-wannabe that showed up a few times literally looked like they went to the craft store for some blue face paint and figured that'd be enough. I was, on the other hand, pretty impressed with their version of Martian Manhunter. I think he was some of the best cgi I've seen on tv.
Do we know if Joey's gonna be a character next season at all? It seems weird for them to open the season premiere with his introduction and then have him be the only one left out of the finale with no mention. I'm glad Yo-Yo seems to be sticking around though.
Preach-conceived Notions
I was just gonna say Preacharound, but yours is classier
I just let out a big Sighnead O'Relief
I feel like they just tried to take on too many stories without giving any of them enough attention. I don't know why they tried to combine dark phoenix and the cure storyline into one movie, except for a fake out resolution of trying to cure jean instead of killing her. Either could have been great on their own, but…
