“A 2013 Tacoma is a nice truck, but it’s not that nice.”
“A 2013 Tacoma is a nice truck, but it’s not that nice.”
When is a door not a door? When it’s a jar!
It’s still Pittsburgh! Even hell has some fun parts.
I don’t see anything wrong with it. In the information age, you don’t even have to get off your ass to find out how much your car is worth before you sell it. A few clicks on the web and you know. If buyer beware is law then seller beware is also the law.
Everything is better with an LS swap. I did a LS 2 in a ‘90 240sx with a stand alone management. It was a perfect car. Ugly but perfect.
and that damn dash!
It’s still GM so reliability is questionable and resale sucks. I’d hold out for the new Ranger. I think that truck is going to be a winner.
I love 1st gen Tundras. If I could find the right dual cab with 4WD and the V8, I’d go for with both feet. But like Tacomas here, people know what they have and want premium $.
True. If I was still living in Florida I would have steered clear of a Tacoma. But being in Utah where nothing rusts, it’s not a problem.
I wanted a Pro 4X when I bought the Taco. I was in a Titan OR previously. I am a Nissan guy in my soul.
Dana made the frames for the 1st & 2nd gen Tacomas. I’m not sure who makes the 3rd gen frames.
Two words: natural selection
This article reminds me of my ex-wife. She’s 50 and has never held the title to any vehicle she’s driven in her hand. About every 3 years she trades in and takes her negative equity with her. I told her years ago she should just lease. She stared at me with a puzzled look and said: “but I’ll never own it”. SMH.
Came here to say my 2nd gen Tacoma seats are some of the best I’ve sat in. I’ve driven 13 hour stints in them with no discomfort.
Great article as always Tom. But don’t dealers work on volume? So the actual dealer cost for the unit isn’t known until the MY end?
As long as he has Property Damage Liability insurance, it’s covered. If the company decided to deny the claim, it could be seen as an act of bad faith and could conceivably cost more than the claim itself. So cheaper to pay out. I’ve been an insurance agent for 30 years and have seen dumber shit covered.
Walk into the dealer and try to get one. The will either blow you off outright or tell you they MIGHT be able to get one if you leave a deposit with the price being north of MSRP. It’s not the mfg, it’s the greedy/lazy dealer network. Hindsight tells me I should have bought a G8 when they were fire sale priced.
Boom! Starred.
I agree. He adds another dimension to the term taking one for the team. He deserves hazardous duty pay and PTSD funding.
That is my take away as well.
