Just one more nail in the nearly infinite number sealing the coffin of my desire to ever buy another new car. I actually am not against speed limiters, but just make it so the damned car won’t go any faster, not make an annoying racket. 85mph would be plenty.

argued in court on Monday that “she knew or should have known [the lavatory] contained a visible and illuminated recording device,”

Basically this with white hood stripes and no window separator (Malibu, not the 300/Chevelle). Sold it because I wasn’t as good at wrenching at the time as I needed to be to keep up with it. And, well, I was at that (somewhat extended) stage of life where I was too dumb to know the value of things or think much about

I’ve told this story here before:

My 1968 Toronado

I fully restored this 1964 1/2 Mustang in my college years and had it for about 5 years before selling it for more important things like a house and marriage. It was far from a performance machine with its stock 289 engine and manual brakes/steering, but I still miss it.

1988 Mercedes 300E, not E300.

My god I HATE welfare farming. The farm subsidies unconscionable. Paying people to not farm or giving away money for relatives of corn farmers is horrid. I am so mad at maga farmers that would let poor children starve as long as they get their welfare farming check from the government they hate so bad they are trying

My 1993 MR2T, hands down. This car was pinnacle 90's Japanese engineering with an absolutely bullet proof motor. I ran 26psi of boost on a stock bottom end with a modified CT-26 utilizing the factory ECU, larger fuel pump, and an FCD (fuel cut defender) and got away with it for 30K miles. This included Angeles Crest

There’s a lot more to “environment” than solely emissions (though some sources say Ethanol production emissions are worse than petrochemical), including chemical runoff, monoculture soil depletion, and biome destruction.

100%

I loved when they made Mountain Dew Throwback with real sugar, that shit was delicious.

Everyone should do themselves a favour and try a Mexican-made Coke.  It’s made with cane sugar and is so much better than the American crap.  You’ll curse the corn lobby for ruining sodas.

How do these things have worse sensors than you average elevator? Most of those won’t even attempt to close if they sense something in the gap.

Gotta remember, Tesla isn’t “really” a car company... <eyeroll> https://www.google.com/search?q=musk+tesla+isn%27t+really+a+car+company

Does Tesla not test their cars at all? Other manufacturers spend years testing every little aspect of their cars. Does Tesla just draw them, make parts and put it all together?

If you are lead to believe by the presence of an Italian flag that your POS was shoddily made in Italy , then you better damn well feel rest assured that your POS was in fact shoddily made in Italy. Can’t have Morocco taking credit for that.

I could only imagine the chaos if a similar law was passed in the US.

Branham’s lawyer, however, argued that he should face less serious charges since no one was killed or seriously injured.”

yes, but pointing and laughing is definitely ok

Saw one in the Costco parking lot yesterday. They look so much worse in person.
