My response isn’t “do nothing” and I never said anything to indicate that is my reaction. My response is give me an alternative. Seriously. Give me one practical alternative. It doesn’t exist yet because there is a problem with literally every source of energy that we currently utilize. Windmills kill animals, are

I’m an ‘use all of the above’ type of guy. Coal some places, natural gas others, nuclear when possible, solar if feasible, wind as well.

By implying I’m a denier, you’re assuming or accepting that Climate Change is a fundamental truth, a truth that it is irrevocably and unequivocally truth manifest.

From my experience? Nope. The most willfully blind, ignorant, deceitful people I’ve met invariably were funded by or worked directly for the government.

Global government is the UN.

I just love how we all “know” (as best we can I suppose) that the earth has had drastically different weather than we have now, all before humans ever existed, but that somehow it’s fully our fault now that things are getting “worse”, except that they can’t even prove things are getting worse. Oh well.

I don’t deny climate change, I deny the human aspect of it. There’s a difference between the two and if you actually look at the data (ones that aren’t rigged), you’ll see that the climate change you speak of is almost irrelevant.

Well i suppose the silver lining is that we’re actually in a boat. Just in case the ice all melts and the earth is flooded. There’s some real goofy shit going on with the way people understand the scientific method right now. It’s as if experimentation is dead and popular practice is to draw conclusions from

It is a fun boat we reside in, eh? I just love how people say “all scientists agree about global warming” but then get mad when I tell them that I work with dozens of scientists and engineers who all think global warming is a load of crock. But hey, I’m in Houston, so we all know none of our opinions matter, being the

Or maybe I actually have the education and job experience (all without the influence from government funded grants) to make an informed decision on the matter. And maybe, just maybe, I work with and know hundreds of other well educated environmental professionals like myself who also think like I do.

It is happening, but not nearly as fast as most climate fanatics think. Most of the climate models don’t work at all well when they go back to say 1979 and play them forward, most get the planet too hot. Why? You don’t get any funding if your model says the temp won’t rise much. The bigger the gloom and doom the more

The problem is that often times when one tries to present their skepticism in a reasonable manner they are immediately labeled a denier. I’m a statistician and I agree with your professor that there isn’t nearly enough data to draw the conclusion that climate change is anything other than the earth’s natural cycle.

Did I say all science is junk? I mean, I’m a real life, actual environmental consultant. All I do is read and work on and do the best I can to clean up and keep clean our environment. I work predominantly with people who think that global warming is a crock of shit. In fact, I frequently attend lectures with hundreds

That’s also a fair criticism. But then, there are also plenty of people like myself who believe that global warming is happening, but I don’t think that a Carbon Tax is the way to go. A tax doesn’t solve the issue unless it actually is so severe that it encourages people to reduce emissions. We need wholescale

Oh, it’s totally fine to be skeptical. I don’t have any problem with people who are skeptical. I had a statistics professor in college say that we haven’t been tracking climate data long enough to ascertain whether or not the recent warming trends are long-term, or simply a short blip in history before another ice

“Divisive” is relative.

  • A 21-year-old student wielding a Bowie knife killed one and injured three in an attempt at the University of Texas at Austin.

Guess we’re not going to go further into this? Just a little blurb, because the perpetrator was some lunatic “Anarachist” who purposefully targeted and attacked Fraternity members (hint: dog

Of course it was “building” from the beginning of our nation’s history.

Unfortunately, I’m seeing the same mental process at work with some liberal friends when there’s a disagreement. This is not exclusively a partisan issue; this is also a social problem. Some people, they’re not so good at thinking but they’re very good at deflecting and attacking.
