The Toronto Pan Am games have proven to be very important for Torontonians this year and have triggered a unified sense of pride in our city.

I can’t wait for it to be explained to me not only why this is bad, but why she is worse than Hitler for doing it.

This is a horrible White yuppie store, run by navel gazing, horrible White people.

I’ve lived in Toronto for a couple of decades but I grew up in SW Ontario. When I go back for holidays and such holy cow do I hear that accent! It kicks in for me when I’m there too long or when I’ve had a few pints here.

They opened up a satellite “pop up” store in my neighborhood to start the indoctrination of customers while the “mall store” was being built. The storefront was only open 3 or 4 days a week for limited hours. In the initial bloom of first love I was in there frequently (it was walking distance). I would bullshit with

Canada has a lot of different accents, or at least dialects. A lot! A standard-issue Toronto accent can be quite different from the SW Ontario one, for instance, and it’s like 200km between the two.

Holy yoga pants, Batman. Between The Collective and clearing, you will be assimilated. Does Lulu get their corporate ideas from the Borg?

Counter Counterpoint. Then there’s Martin Scorsese who constantly puts 40 y/o Leo DiCaprio in movies where he spends the first part of the movie playing a 20 something.

I don’t know. Do we have a sixty five year old to play a teenager as well, in line with the “I’m not there” way of seeing biopics? J Lawrence is a nice girl, but neither her nor Bradley cooper are that good of actors. But hey, Hollywood.

I initially misread this as “librarian hippy cult” and got really excited.

“That’s your job description: to be “entrepreneurial,” which is Lululemon’s code for working yourself to the bone without question.”

I love it when long-established, relatively large businesses encourage rank-and-file employees to be “entrepreneurial.” You do know that if they took that to heart, task #1 would be quitting, right?

Yup, always hated this bullshit. And the thing is, what do all these euphemisms and the whole veneer of positivity that companies put up only really do? Everyone is still negative, everyone still knows what the fuck they are doing. If anything, all this does is allow management to blindly believe that the company

It’s like if Scientology started selling yoga pants!

I have a question!

“friends are more important than money”

I think it just goes to prove that “haters gonna hate” regardless of the situation. You didn’t have to clarify anything. Thank you for sharing your story.

I feel like my story needs a bit of clarification. I was not “spoiled”, as you put it. I am autistic and severely physically disabled, so “normal” ways of earning money were and are not accessible to me. My parents buying all that they did for me had nothing to do with being spoiled. I was the weird kid who hardly

“Honey, these cards are kind of expensive. Why do you need all of this?”

Afterwards, they drove me to the mall and allowed me to get a binder and multiple booster packs. This continued for months until I had a deck and binders FULL of rare cards and how to use them.
