large businesses are subject to inertia so it's likely that blackberry will have SOME staying power. just like windows XP.

classy jason,

@jinchoung: yah, apollo 13 is a good example actually. no villain. no romance between paxton and hanks... just professionals doing a hard job. and that was plenty dramatic.

@Josh Wimmer: and of course, it should be accompanied by kenny loggin's "highway to the danger zone" - [www.youtube.com] (get past the first 7 seconds)

@Josh Wimmer: right. i don't remember any character arcs but that's something that clearly must change unless you want to go totally antiseptic like 2001. for the protag, rama represents something that must be overcome. pretty much that much must/should change.

when i read it, i imagined long sustained shots in complete silence and other sequences where it's purely POV shots with the sound of the breathing system inside of a helmet.

@ShanaLD: haha. RIGHT. i daresay lincoln would not recognize his party if he were alive to see it today.

@ShanaLD: right but absolutely NONE of those things strike me as "conservative" at least under their current platform. those would without exception be found under the tent of liberals - not conservatives.

@Steve Climaco: oh one thing though - i disagree that cussing makes your argument seem weak. in fact, when politicians are having debates and one side or the other is literally lying (or is sarah palin), i think everyone would be better served if civility came off and swear words were unbuckled and one side or the

@ShanaLD: again - what in particular?

@Timothy Neill: thankfully, dirk anger spared ME a good deal of typing so i will merely address some left overs-

@ShanaLD: this is admittedly not exhaustive but it's pretty good so let's use it as a basis of conversation cuz i'm genuinely curious what a progressive liberal would find to agree with in the conservative column:

@Moses Quetzalcoatl Bratrud: *sigh* ... again - WHO do the liberals paint as the cause of all the world's evils without running into false equivalences eh?

when i saw the words "hatred" and "quasi-fascism" and the notion of a rich upper class exploiting the "weakest" members of its society for self gain... it seemed to be describing conservative politics in our own america. how is it that this strategy of harnessing hate and fear is so ever present and so ever

hey cool... it's good to see that the movie starts with a premise that ensures that a "god" has somewhere to develop too. like the fallen angle... and asgard has a historical (albeit blinged) feel to it that seems authentic and not just mongo.

@whatznext28: right - the price quote was for american dollars. not rupees. so they would convert $35 american dollars to rupees to get the local price.
