YES! The Wagner allusions in the score were terrific. Appropriate; tasteful; well realized. Really smart.

The only Sparks album I ever bought was Angst In My Pants. I *adored* Valley Girl, and “Eaten By The Monster Of Love” is prominent on the soundtrack; also you can hear the title track during the party scene.
Same.
Is Emily involved?
Best John Barry score? Goldfinger is unquestionably awesome, but OHMSS is probably better.
Wait. Honor was a judo player on her own? Not just as something for her part in the Bond film?
I get what you’re saying: you’re referring to the official “Golden Age” and “Silver Age” of DC comics.
Good point on Krasinski’s warmth.
More like Great-grandparents, I think.
It’s a year or so in, and I’m still in awe at Bendis not tackling the DCU’s “gritty street-level” characters, and instead going right to Superman. And now the Legion!
I’m hugely disappointed that anyone would consider the golden age of the Legion to be the “Giffen era”.
I’m the one who loves it. One of my 3 or 4 favorite superhero movies.
Cumberbatch sounded so much like Dr House in the theater, it was totally distracting.
Doctor Strange is tragically under-appreciated. One of the 3 or 4 best “superhero”(?) movies ever.
“The only one who has to sacrifice himself is Tony Stark...”
Nine years?
I suspect that the Black Widow movie is going to introduce the new Black Widow. Handoff from ScarJo to the new actress: set the successor up for future appearances.
Goddammit. My effort to appear too good for the MCU immediately hits a couple snags: lady director for Black Widow, and they’re making a SHANG-CHI movie!!
It’s interesting to think of Scorcese’s comments in the context of the two MCU movies I really love & admire: Iron Man(1) and Doctor Strange. There’s some “revelation, mystery, and genuine emotional danger” in those two, I would say. They’re pop art of course; genre pieces rather than “fine art”. But they’re…
Really the question is did we ever deserve dogs, at any time.
