I revere LeGuin, have read plenty of her. Plenty of Gaiman too, whom I enjoy a great deal. Not familiar with China Mieville.

Rando question:
There’s more subtext there in the books.
Little did Arya know that every time Gendry said “as you wish” he really meant “I love you.”
Thing is, I don’t even like GRRM’s writing. I think he’s a great storyteller with good ideas, but the actual writing is bland
The only memorable line for me was Sansa’s about Joffrey’s wedding. More of that please.
Bran: “You did what you had to do to set me on my journey. There are bigger things to take care of now”
She wants to be queen because she can, not because she wants to serve the people.
if the show expects me to be here for a happy aunt/nephew romance they are crazy.
I loved Tag. More fun on re-watches than first time thru.
Iron Man still the best of all of them.
Thanos had at least one (the power stone?) and maybe two when he boxed the Hulk into submission.
What the fuck was Sarah thinking with this statement?
Doesn’t seem premeditated, to me. It’s not like she issued a release or anything. This was ripped from an interview. She was doing pub for her newest project – press being part of her job – and was asked a question, and answered it truthfully. I don’t see ANY…
I thought Kirkman said multiple times that she WASN’T referring to CK? That it was some other creepoid?
I just don’t buy her too-cool-for-school attitude Sarah tries to show, that it’s all hah-ha comedy if Lois wanted to jerk off in front of her... I’d find it immensely disturbing, and I think it’s abnormal that Sarah Silverman was so cool with it. ... her account that it was all for laffs rings hollow to me.

This might be a hot take, but I think Die Hard is more of a Christmas movie than It’s A Wonderful Life is. The Christmas elements are far more front & center, and far more relevant to the plot, in DH than in Wonderful Life.
I just want to chime in to acknowledge the fact that Scott Pilgrim vs The World is basically the greatest movie ever made. Every member of the cast is awesome.
Ugh. Jurassic Park is a chase scene in search of a story.
