Thanks. I remembered that as soon as it started playing.

That must be it.
"Point"? What was the point before?
I should add, this is not really the position I want to argue, because in general I agree that Purvis & Wade are clowns, and the scripts for the films from World Is Not Enough on have been shit, with the exception of Casino. (And Casino benefits hugely from getting ~2/3 of its material from the novel.) But the dialog…

Apologized for what, again? Sounds like an interesting anecdote.
That corkscrew car jump might be best stunt ever committed to celluloid.
What's frustrating is that there's one or two scenes where Moore really does do the stone cold thing and he can actually do it very well, but

Spy Who Loved Me got the balance exactly right.
God fucking dammit.
Pam Bouvier was just one movie earlier, you know
"Moonraker" is a very pretty melody, I find myself singing or humming it sometimes.
I actually think the bit at the end of Octopussy, with Bond dressed as a clown and racing to catch up to the nuclear bomb and deactivate it, are extremely well done. It seems like it should be ridiculous, esp with the clown suit, but it really works. Suspenseful.
It's traditional in reviews of Bond films to assess the "proactiveness" of the girl, usually with reference to some other character who "raised that bar higher" (here it's Rebecca Ferguson). No one ever seems to remember the most proactive & resourceful Bond girl of all time: the one played by Izabella Scorupco in…
What I am most interested to know: how is the new version of the music from On Her Majesty's Secret Service used in this film???
