I remember installing IE8 when I first booted Win7 and it gave me an option on the first start up to change the search provider (along with add-ons). It's one of the first screens you see when you boot up IE8 for the first time, pretty hard to miss it.

Nothing too major. They do call it the MW3 engine (IW5 engine), but they only updated a few things, like better lighting and sounds (from MW2 at least, I don't know about from MW1)
