It really did feel like an unlicensed Doctor Who movie! I couldn’t get past it, and just viewed the whole thing through Tardis-colored glasses.

I think it’s generally because this is asked in the middle of a panel, not at a sit-down, one to one interview. The interviewer is already subverting the process by asking ‘Is a hot dog a sandwich?’ during the person’s book tour... taking the time to really get into the weeds with their answer just isn’t going to

I had never considered how cringe-worthy it could be to ask this to someone sans prep or context. Kudos to you and your nerves of steel.

100% agree. I was, and still am, wowed by the 3D effect on certain games. It may not be for everyone, but it makes me feel like a kid almost every time I use it.

A good thought, but what about a hot turkey sandwich with gravy? Can’t be held in your hands*, but most definitely a sandwich.

I didn’t go last year, and I think a lot is riding on what session you go to... it seems like the first session is more relaxed, and people are more about quality than quantity. I’ve heard less-stellar reviews of the Sat. night session. *shrug*

This is one of those ideas that I never would have considered on my own, yet after reading it thought “Oh, this makes SO much sense!” Also, as a side note: I love GABF so much... just a comfortable, laid-back event vibe, even when dealing with some pretty sizable crowds.

None for me, please. I’ve had bagged scrambled eggs in MREs before, and do not care to relive the experience any time soon. *shudder*

Bravo, friend... you hooked me in 100% :) Started reading and thought, “Really, the first comment?,” and ALMOST didn’t read the rest. I’m glad I did, though... well played.

This is definitely interesting for a test, but please don’t take Maxwell House home as your ‘for-real’ coffee... there are so many awesome coffee roasters available online who will ship coffee directly to your home. Easier than going to the store, and delicious! Plus, if you’re worried you’ll forget many have

No way... grinding your own beans is relatively inexpensive, quick, and results in a better drink. There’s nothing snobbish about that. :)

That’s my biggest problem with real life.

But... Could they, though? Please??

Ghost Turtle!

If you’ve ruled out the maker as a variable, you’re left with either the coffee itself or the water you’re using. Check what beans you’re getting (if you like WH/Perkins, look for a medium roast Colombian) and try filtered water. If none of that helps you, it may be some sort of curse. Did you happen upon any ancient

Did you even read her reply, or just immediately post the strawman argument you had waiting?

See, I was guessing Qdoba...

Poorly.

WooHoo! I was hoping to see some more “Senior Week” posts here... They’re sad because of what they signify, but have been pretty great across the board so far.
