Why not put media (DVDs, etc.) in a separate category from home-entertainment equipment (TVs, DVD players, etc.)?

Exactly. She's more or less a character in costume.

It's only okay when God aborts the baby.

I don't know that the decade-plus of legal wrangling with the Beatles that eventually found the band's works online is the best argument against the idea that Apple is having trouble lining up deals.

This seems like something we'll be talking about a year or two from now as the first indication that Best Buy was on its way out.

"If there's an image that summarizes my idea of complete horror, this is it."

Verizon is selling them as upgrades for $249 on their website, so there's not a lot of point in upgrading through Amazon.

Were they trying to buy a Nook?

I've been on that diet since March and have lost 55 pounds. Eating fat doesn't make you lose weight; not eating carbs does.

I'm not an expert. I was just saying what I would get. Can you buy a rooted Fire? I think you have to buy them unrooted and then root them. I'd start with the unrooted model and figure out whether I needed/wanted it to do something that it can't do without rooting.

If you're not just trolling, the Amazon Kindle Fire is probably the best bet.

Please, please, PLEASE get me a 4G phone! The Samsung Galaxy Nexus will do fine, thank you. I'm grandfathered in to unlimited data (or "unlimited" data, at least for now).

It's not the "free" part that's wrong; it's the "extra" part. By advertising it as a reason to buy the phone, Apple put it in the "feature" rather than "extra" category.

Calling something a beta while advertising it as a reason to buy something is really just a CYA for crappy quality. Siri should have been a free extra at this stage.

Motorola Droid.

You pay an annual fee and then get second-day shipping for everything you buy during that year, at least that's how it works with Amazon Prime. Amazon bundles a bunch of other benefits, though, like library lending for the Kindle and a bunch of free videos.

Hmm. Am I more loyal to Amazon (as a Prime member since the moment it became available) or Google (as an owner of an original Droid)? })]Head Explosion[({

Obviously Apple is building long-term market share by ensuring that its customers reproduce.

This list is useless to me without Sour Patch Kids!

It sounds positively awful! I can't wait to get it!
