Actually lately the show does do a nice reinvention, a working class family straight , with money problems, they treat everyone the same, gay Brad, the dumb jock, the special needs kid and in doing so are more inclusive than most shows on TV

Since Lowe's character is so wonderfully farcical and the whole premise is ridiculous why not embrace the silliness of the show, like the aforementioned Eastbound and Down, I give FOX credit for going so far out with the show, I wonder if it can be sustained but I am enjoying it for now.
to make sure it was her and not a decoy
giving Quin the hit doesn't ring true at all, too conflicted, I know it's a plot device but you need to build some credibility
I still am upset at the Heck's treatment of Brick, it really is wrecking the show for me.
Ok , this dissing of Brick, the child who needs parenting more than the others is not funny, and I love this show. But I will say Axl's ant solution is spot on, this is almost exactly the way college boys approach this type of problem. When I was in school, we repaired a broken dorm window with uncondensed Cambells…
pretty funny think this one will work
Holy Crap I laughed out loud
The Emmy's have grown so PC [and I say that from the point of view of a Bernie Sanders supporter] that it is disgusting. The Middle even has a gay character "Brad", The Emmys seem to have it in for Working Class comedies, did King of Queens ever win? These comedies are a staple of TV, "The Life of Riley", Jackie…
well that's the problem , to the PC crowd [which sometimes I support] the economic problems of the Middle Class aren't really on the radar screen, but in the long run they affect many of the other more "sexy" problems
I disagree I think Heaton is a pro, makes her delivery look easy
Crime story Eden Sher didn't get an Emmy. F the Emmies only good thing was Modern Family didn't get one.
this was funny, Lea Michelle priceless
as is a wife being slaughtered and the husband taking up a sword, never saw that before, Braveheart to Hell on Wheels, to Josey Wales, I could go on.
didn't get thru the first hour, seeing all those happy clean, full teethed Welsh peasants, thought I was watching Robin Hood Men in Tights, Then using a 16th or 17th Century Manor house, for an interior court yard background scene, supposedly on the Welsh Border in the 13th Century made me puke, Shame of Thrones,…
maybe I meant intelligent as compared to the other garbage that passes for comedy on TV, if Modern Family wins one more Emmy I'll puke, and is it now a law that every sitcom must have at least one Gay person? The Brink at least broke some molds,
I love that in the end Simon says there were no perfect heroes in the show, and no perfect villains
Molina was great, btw in Wayne NJ we have a councilman who replicates Molina's character in every respect, unfortunately like the show, this guy is Italian American, his name is Scurali, and he pontificates from the dais about everything mouthing Radio Talk Show memes with right wing fear mongering. So it goes.
They do not need to have a vote for the Emmy's , every dramatic award should go to this show, writing , cinematography, acting, costume, every one, I have never seen better television.
Johnson and Cordrry are great . Johnson is a real surprise talent. Though anyone who has seen him on SNL would know how good he can be. The writing is inconsistent, and are there no irresponsible white players? Though having a relative who has a full ride to a D-One school , I can tell you they are treated like little…
