Crazy Bastard

I am a cheap, broke, crazy bastard. I dispise monthly payments, especially car payments. I see a some new cars that tempt me from my bastard ways, but none have made me walk into a car dealer and take the payment. The moment I saw the IDX, I immediately found my nearest Nissan dealer and was set to make it happen.

I feel that at the end of an episode of the last generation of TG, I had seen an honest review of the cars. This gave the show an air of legitimacy that carried the scripted bits enough to allow me to suspend belief and laugh along.

The way I see it, they can build the show around Matt, Rory, Chris Harris, and Sabine. They have enough differences to standout, and with a bit of time they could form a good level of comradery. I enjoyed all of their segments. Chris Evans, yeah, still too shouty and laborious to watch.

In 40 years time we should see sites pop up that specialize in mods like, “How to add a working steering wheel and still be legal.”, and “Gain FULL throttle control with this one simple hack.”.

I can see the back half of the donor porche was the front half of the new car. When i first saw the car I had to look at the side mirrors to figure out which direction the driver is facing.

It was alright. The timing of everything felt a bit rushed. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and see how the chemistry gels over time. I felt Mett did a good job, same as Sabine. Let’s hope Chris settles in and relaxes as time goes on.

I should of listened to your advice.

I am a big fan of Pantera’s but this example is no where near as valuable as the price tag. That engine compartment only makes me wonder what the paint is hiding. The haphazard sunroof and wing shows this car needs a good home and a total rebuild. At 50K+, that is nuclear grade crack in that pipe.

Thanks for sharing this story. That’s a damn fine thing you are doing for your brother. I would mail you a beer, but I doubt it would make it.

No, just no. On the other hand, it is nice to see the keys to the liqour cabinet were left out last night. I’ll take a Jameson on the rocks, please.

I love that body and engine, but at that price I just can’t vote NP. But, I just can’t bring myself to vote CP. Just look at it, I just can’t. I have to abstain from voting, it’s the only way for me not to hate myself. I need a beer.

Upon seeing the front I thought it was a 4 maybe a 5. Seeing the profile, I was thinking 5ish6. Then when the camera swung in for the rear 3/4 and more shot; damn, now that is a solid 9.

I’m right there with you on this. It looks like a good challenge, and if I never challenged myself in the past I would never have built any mechaincal skills at all. (Or have any good stories about the failures.)

#4 Always have a haynes manual in the car just in case you need kindling. For a few extra bucks, get the factory service manuals. Once you get beyond changing oil, it will be some of the best money spent.

C is for the carpets all dingy and soiled.

If only they offered free hair transplants so I wouldn’t look blatantly stereotypical buying a new sports car...

I see three people that might be Jeremy Clarckson present when this went down. They should be happy only two cars broke.

Let me guess, next year they announce their partnership with the oculus rift?

I was holding up for a night in Salt Lake City back around 92-94. I walked outside of my hotel and stood near the stoplight and saw something I have never seen since. Drivers were approaching the lights and making right turns; standard stuff. However, the turning drivers were not slowing down much if at all. They also

Nice article, thanks for sharing. I would like to reccomend Neatsfoot oil for your leather shoes. Really brings back the color and softness to old leather without having to tap your dirty oil stash.
