Bryant & Patmon: [start fighting]

I’ve noticed that whenever articles such as this are posted, hotly taking down some established pop icon/band (see previous articles on Pearl Jam, or Foo Fighters, et. al), the writer never articulates his/her preferred musician/artist/band.

That doesn’t sound like an insult, or a particularly apt description of John Lennon.

Someone who does considerably more for worthy causes than Albert Burneko.

I care about music and think U2 has been consistently great for the vast part of their career. And they kick the crap of almost any other band when it comes to their live shows.

I can't speak for Creed, but you kind of keep showing that you really don't know anything about U2. Also, this particular brand of cynicism is usually reserved for 15 year olds. Grow up.

If only he had some way to redeem himself. Like publishing an article about an obscure executive who was being blackmailed by a prostitute.

It’s actually pretty clear that he has never listened to a U2 album, and definitely nothing from the 90’s. His sole exposure to U2 seems to be the 10 or so songs he has heard on the radio. Plus, U2 is the best live rock band around, and has been since about 1983 (Popmart notwithstanding). That's a pretty good run. By

Look at all the dopes who ignore that Tupac went to jail for sexual assault, that Ice-T was an actual pimp, that Biggie was a crack dealer, etc...

I know how double-negatives work... thanks.

Checkbook activists. Yeah, those guys are the worst. They just throw money at the problem of helping people.

I’ll acknowledge Bono’s pompous self-aggrandizement. I’ll admit that, as much as I love the highlights of U2’s career, I’m bored with most of their catalog.

Because Achtung Baby, Because War, Because Boy, Because Zooropa, Because Songs of Innocence.

“...Nevertheless, a tapestry was unfurled, depicting, with metaphoric incoherence, Manhattan as a Lennon-piloted yellow submarine shining its light on Liberty Island, which is not Ellis Island...”

What is this song about?

The Joshua Tree is a goddamn incredible album and I will fight any soulless person who says otherwise. That being said, Bono is a pompous ass. Seriously, what the fuck is that guys problem with AIDS? Hold grudges much? And fuck whoever decided to go along and refer to David Evans as “The Edge”. That is a terrible

“To be honest, I don’t much care about which part of the British Isles rightly may claim John Lennon’s ancestry. He mostly was a self-promoting misogynist checkbook activist who imagined no possessions from one of the most exclusive addresses in the history of planet earth, so whichever country wants him can have him”

I’ve got nothing against that sentence spoken by Bono, or understanding the Beatles to be, in some meaningful if not definitive sense, Irishmen.

It’s like you’ve never actually listened to U2. It’s cute.

Stick to food!!
