I’m thankful for it.
I want none of this stuff.
I’m thankful for it.

Jackie Wilson
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
Stevie Nicks
Lindsey Buckingham
His voice ain’t doing it for me anymore.
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club- Wrong Creatures.

Exactly.
An honest headline would read like this:
Right?
A puff piece for an ad.
Why are you promoting an ad?
He can and did.
He chose to have all men.
Now he says he regrets that.
Metallica are the go to association with that song?
Ok.
“especially after that New Yorker profile, I find the guy nigh-insufferable. “
Ditto.
Right?
Actual soul artist Curtis Harding is touring the US right now.
Not a peep from AVClub.
“at some point in the near future, at which point he’ll most likely embark on a new creative journey that will be similarly acclaimed and unstoppable.”
:jerk-off motion:
Exactly.
He’s terrible.
“This record is great. I’ll never listen to it again, as I don’t particularity like it, but it’s well made and bound to make someone happy.”
A+
As I said, AVClub have given up on music. If they follow that formula they CAN’T give anything a poor review.
“This is great, I’m not gonna listen to it much” makes NO sense to me.
It’s music, not a movie. You can listen to music in your car, while exercising, while fucking, while drinking and smoking weed on the back porch, while doing laundry, while cleaning the garage, or just sitting on the couch.
“I don’t listen to Andrew W.K.’s music all that often anymore, and I don’t know how often I’ll head for You’re Not Alone in the future.”
Gives it an A anyway.
WTF?
The AVClub have raised the white flag when it comes to music coverage.
5 chances to say Otis Redding and he fucked it up.
Why would you spend your time on this when there are naps?
Stevie Nicks- Bella Donna
Emmylou Harris- Wrecking Ball
Creedence Clearwater Revival- All of it.
The Sheepdogs- Changing Colours
Ray Charles- Modern Sounds In Country & Western Music
Queens of The Stone Age- Villains
