You're right! Being able to have a weapon and a plasmid up at the same time is such a massive improvement, and feels so natural that it's hard to believe the first game didn't let you.

I think I'll play it today. I haven't played it in a while, but I don't think there's been a shooter like that in a while. Graphics, atmosphere are there enough to be satisfying but it isn't as pretentious as say, Bioshock. (that's not to rag on bioshock, obviously it was great.)
