And this is why the C8 is so spot on. For about $75k you have a targa top or 2 golf bags in the trunk with performance that will make you smile every time you get behind the wheel.

My '01 C5 is base plus Z51 and came with a TON of crap stock. Of course the seat options all suck in the C5/6, but these look amazing. 

Average age: 67. Makes that 15% seem pretty strong. But as much as I love my 6 speed C5, I didn't care for the 7 speed manual.

There are just better options than a quiet $30k Harley. I love the idea but the execution is missing.

First year production runs are usually iffy anyway. There was a dealer here that did closed bids for the Civic Type R, most were $26k+ over MSRP. For a Civic.

I love my '92 Silverado with 200k+ miles on it. I would like to replace it some day, but I can't see paying more for a truck than I did for my C5 Vette.

I still want one, holy hell. I have only seen one in person and it's incredible.

The only real issue is I don’t fit in one. I had the chance to drive one in ‘88 and couldn’t fit my knee between the shifter and wheel.

While I agree with you on the stark reality, I would still opt for the NA GT3RS. Of course I still want a 6 speed, too. So there is that.

The lack of manual in the Supra is really the only disappointing thing about it.

Mine comes to $281,310 with options. If only.

I for one look forward to the C8R. 

If I ever upgrade from my C5, it will be the C6Z06. Big block NA with the tight 6 speed and ready to rock bone stock. Just take care of those valves and you are good.

What about oil changes? I heard Tesla charges a lot for those. At 1000 miles a month, you are in for at least 2 a year.

You could get a clean, low mile C5Z06 for less than $25k. While the Stingray is nice, an '04 Z is a lot more binary and will still get 30mpg on the freeway.
