If you need more power feel free to go buy a mustang or camaro.

There will also probably be far fewer Supras in the wild.

$40K buys you the equivalent of a factory forced-induction GT86. That’s the car you want? They’re common as dirt.

No-one was cryng out for the NSX, and no-one is crying out for the s2000, but they just aren’t thinking it through.

Where is the $50-90K car with real-world performance and cool, handsome looks.

I will be just about done paying this off (3 years) by the time(if) they come out with a targa version of the new one:

kids today don’t want Harley’s. they want Triumph and Suzuki or e-motorcycles and vespas

a fresh, affordable product line directed toward the youth market

I know it’s bad financial advice to sell an appreciating asset for a depreciating one, but damned if I wouldn’t trade my ‘00 NSX for a new one with the blue/saddle color combo. But they have to make it with a targa top first...

And imagine trying to drive while incessantly chanting don’t hit me, don’t hit me, don’t hit me...

Can you get a decent one under $10k?

Toyota has already given us the V8 in the 4Runner. It’s gone now for a reason.

but it makes power in a different part of the rev range

Imogene Pass in Ouray, Colorado. That specific spot isn’t hard to get to, it helps to have 4-Low but it isn’t essential.

Sorry but the 3.5L is fine.

I’m sorry, but I fear the next generation will go the way the Pathfinder did - a soft, bloated, soccer kid hauler.

and they’re definitely not worth the $70k that some dealers are asking for black wheels and blue paint

You did fail to mention its best feature (although it has been covered here before) .... and that feature is the rear window. The rear window lowers providing a way for my dog’s to slobber on the asshole-who’s-tailgating-me’s windshield.

Just wait until they put the 3.5L from the Tacoma into the 4Runner, if you own one of the new ‘20 green TRD Pro 4Runners you’re sitting on money.

I’ve driven past enough cabins on mountain trails in Colorado and there is a disproportionate number of those cabins with two vehicles out front:
