Yasiel...Pug?
Tonight’s game was a great one to watch, even if the outcome wasn’t what I was hoping for. Wonderful, physical action on both sides. It did seem that Chicago was getting away with a lot of cheap shots when the refs weren’t looking (such as Duncan Keith punching Ryan Callahan in the back of the head), but both teams…
Meanwhile, this sign has survived at least two of the arena’s name changes:
How much did you pay to throw golf balls down a fairway for three hours?
not petty at all. extremely generous.
ok well, you deserved that. At least they were polite!
I mostly agree. I have a heart attack while watching my team and enjoy the ability to just watch two neutral teams play great hockey... for the first 3 rounds. When it comes to the Stanley Cup Final, I do still watch every game (because hockey is the best) but do so begrudgingly. Watching a team that isn’t my team…
I’m with Barry on this, I don’t think you could be any more wrong. I’m also a fan of a team that got ousted in Round 1, yet I’ve been into each of the subsequent 3 rounds. (mostly hate-watching the Rangers, sorry Barry.)
He’s an admitted Pens fan. That’s more than enough to render his opinion completely irrelevant.
Well, do you love hockey, or do you just love the Penguins (and if that’s the case.... how does that work)? If you love hockey, why the hell aren’t you watching? My team didn’t even make the playoffs, and I’ve watched some or all of about 75% of the games played in the postseason.
To each their own but it is the exact opposite for me. I can maybe stomach three NFL games a year but I watched well over 200 NHL games this season. I just prefer the sport but I know I am in the minority camp.
Pens fan. Says it all. If you can’t get into this series, find another sport.
This is the most backwards hockey thought I’ve ever read. From a pure sports-watching experience, there is none better than the Cup playoffs, even if your team isn’t in it. For fuck’s sake: look at this shit. How does that not want you to watch any hockey at any time?
I couldn’t disagree with this more. Playoff hockey is extremely unpleasant when I’m watching my own team—it’s a near-constant heart attack. From a pure enjoyment perspective, I’d much rather watch neutral teams. I can enjoy the actual game more, even if I’m not as invested in the outcome.
seabiscuit would have won. Great movie.
I laughed long and hard.
At last, video evidence that 2:24 is faster than 2:26.
