I never said it should "say a lot" and am confused where those quotes are from. My problem is vague for vague's sake.
I'm not looking for a simple explanation nor do I think any tv show is capable of giving me "a greater meaning". My beef is that I think this show isn't saying anything at all, and yet somehow believes that to be a profound narrative device.
"The unanswerable mysteries of human condition"? This show, like Lost before it, uses that as a shield. It needs to take an actual stance on SOMETHING, not just manipulate me with it's moving score and exceptional production.

I just saw him in Miami and it was awesome. He closed the show by apologizing for all the sad songs and with a cover of Hotline Bling.
Player Piano may be my favorite and I've always felt it doesn't get enough love.
