I think their garden variety cars (A1, A3, A4, A5) are too dull and you can get exactly the same drivetrains and feeling of quality in VWs & Skodas.

I think the McLaren brand is elastic enough. Whilst they do have heritage, I always relate that heritage to engineering and them doing projects that please them as enthusiasts.

My proudest moment last winter was overtaking a floundering X5 in a 2cv in the snow - skinny tyres help too!
