Completely agree. I'm not a qualified diagnostician of mental illness, but I don't see healthy people acting out like this so frequently. Did my first (and only) half marathon a couple of years ago, in the same boat as you guys. Mile 10 was the kicker for me too, but would've been a LOT better had I invested in some good shoes. I ran in Nike Shox that were too heavy, and didn't have enough cushion. Find whatever works for you.
