I prefer Pet Sounds to anything the Beatles ever did (and SMiLE to most of it) but I think this is spot on. Abbey Road, Revolver, Magical Mystery Tour, and Rubber Soul are all a lot more enjoyable and emotionally involving to me than SP. If SP stood alone, who knows?

"Too many artists contributed" is the stupidest argument of all time. No classical music would qualify for greatest piece of music in history by that rubric. Great art is great art.

It makes me sad that Apatow basically caused it because he and Feig have done some of my favorite work ever. But I still like a lot of their stuff.

I love Paul Fieg's sense of humor but post-Bridesmaids everything is waaaay too long. Spy was a hilarious 90 minute movie with an hour of filler.

I personally find his performance in My Girl very effective. That was the first thing I saw Ackroyd in and it colored my perception of his talents, I guess.
