Oh no, I see in this the makings a unique zombie apocalypse: Genius Zombie Brain-Eaters!

And they fixed it

15x... Math: How Does It Work?!?! :)

Buttons: There are too few on that controller. Each successive console generation has not just done a "+1" to the naming scheme (ps1, ps2, ps3, etc) but extended the promise of more buttons! I demand at least 1 more button, preferably an even half-dozen, and maybe a mounted 20-sided die I roll and have the system

Listen Gizmodo, I get that Glass is going to be awesome, but wearing it will not just transport me to a sky full of hot air balloons. Let's not blow this out of proportion.

16 Giga? The most I was ever able to fit up there was half a Kilo...

If their savvy they'll be able to call back and threaten to purchase Fox or CBS instead. Then they can keep NBCUni for another year or so.

The surface pro battery life stumps me since a "rival", the Iconia w700, also has an i5 but a battery life about 2 hours longer. Smaller battery or worse power management?

Driver issues for video cards are still a factor... I have had to track down beta drivers and fiddle with customizing inf files when the appropriate official driver was not available, all to fix game-breaking issues, all within the previous 6 months or so.

I think the chances are pretty good that lightning will strike the highest lightning rod in a lightning storm.

Yeah, this definitely solidifies the Men of Letters as a viable faction/class for a Supernatural MMO spin-off. ( I can hope )

Even accounting for the 1,000 MB not 1024 MB slight of hand, and the disk space overhead used in formatting the drive, this means 37GB are taken up with just the OS, default apps, and a restore partition. Assuming the restore partition is no larger than need be, e.g., OS + default apps, that should be 18.5 GB for OS

no problem... I installed my Steam copy of Heroes of Might & Magic 5 and it runs very nicely. Great Game!

The demo wouldn't run at all, crashed on trying to start it with a run-time error. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the demo or incompatibility with Windows 8. I googled and tried the recommended fixes, but no luck.

ill try the demo and let you know... check back here in a day or so

Even aside from the technical problems, there is still the philosophical issue of the copy problem: Given the ability to resurrect from backup or some such, there's no reason why you would need to wait until you're dead for the backup to be instantiated. Then there are two of you. Clearly you, the original, is not

I generally agree, with the caveat that for how much cheaper it is, it is plenty "good enough". For me, and obviously for many people, the increased price of the iPhone far outpaces the increase in user experience. Not mention the ability to poke around and be less constricted to a walled garden than with the iPhone,

I just got an Asus VivoTab Smart, which is basically the Surface Pro complete with full Win 8 but with a much less power-hungry Atom processor compared to the i5 coming in the Surface Pro. As such it should have nearly twice the battery power (about 9.5 hrs) at about half the price ($499) For anyone leery about Atom
